Cluj Innovation Days 2026 brought together in Cluj-Napoca European experts from technology, research, public administration and the business environment to explore the skills needed in the age of Artificial Intelligence and to identify new opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
During the event, two initiatives with a major impact on the digital transformation ecosystem in Romania were announced. The first is the partnership between Cluj IT and the National Institute for Research and Development in Bucharest, which contributes to the development of the European AI Factory initiative and to increasing organisations' access to advanced infrastructure and expertise in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
The second important piece of news concerns DIH4Society, which enters a new stage of development starting on 1 July. Further supported by European funding, the hub expands its activity and impact by including the South-West Region, thus strengthening the access of SMEs, public organisations and other relevant actors to innovation, testing and digital technology adoption services.
In this edition of the programme, Edgár Zoltán, Managerul proiectului DIH4Society, and Ovidiu Prodan, CEO of Expert Proiect, a direct beneficiary of digital transformation services in the first implementation stage, discusses the main results of Cluj Innovation Days 2026, the opportunities generated by the AI Factory and how DIH4Society 2.0 will accelerate digital transformation and digital skills development at regional and national level.
