On 18 June 2025, the Bihor Science and Technology Park successfully hosted the event Oradea Innovation Day, dedicated to accelerating digital transformation in the business environment, public administration and health in Bihor County and the North-West region. The event, organised by the University of Oradea and Cluj IT Cluster, through the DIH4Society project in partnership with the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and the Bistrița-Năsăud Chamber of Commerce and Industry, brought together over 150 participants from the business environment, public institutions, the socio-economic environment and universities.

Dialogue and collaboration for digitalisation

The event agenda, carried out according to the announced programme, included two thematic panels that addressed the digital transformation of public services, the digital revolution in the economic sector, as well as two brokerage sessions in which concrete solutions for accelerating the digital and sustainable transition in both the public and private sectors were presented.

Participants had the opportunity to interact directly with technology experts, innovation consultants and digital solution providers, benefiting from applied presentations, case studies and brokerage sessions for identifying partnerships and joint projects. Special guests included representatives of local administration, academia and leaders from the IT and innovation sector.

Access to expertise and concrete solutions

The event highlighted the strategic role of the DIH4Society project, which offers SMEs, public institutions and medical units consultancy services, access to modern laboratories, support in accessing funding and training in digital skills. Participants explored the facilities of the Bihor Science and Technology Park, as well as the laboratories of the University of Oradea, strengthening the collaboration between academia and business.

Perspectives and impact

Oradea Innovation Day confirmed the region's potential as a digital innovation hub, facilitating the exchange of best practices and the creation of partnerships for digital transformation projects. The event underlined the importance of cross-sector collaboration for modernising public services and increasing economic competitiveness, positioning Bihor County as an example of good practice at national and European level.
