DIH4Society 2.0 launched at DTX2026: calls open for free digitalisation services

With the launch, calls were opened through which eligible companies, public institutions and public healthcare units can access digitalisation, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity services at no direct cost.

Cluj-Napoca, 30 October 2026

DIH4Society 2.0 was officially launched on 22 October at Digital Transformation Experience 2026 (DTX2026), at the Banca Transilvania Amphitheatre in Cluj-Napoca. With the launch, calls were opened through which eligible companies, public institutions and public healthcare units can access digitalisation, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity services at no direct cost.

The event was organised by Cluj IT Cluster, the project coordinator, in partnership with the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, the Bistrița-Năsăud Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova. DTX2026 brought together entrepreneurs, experts and representatives of institutions to discuss digitalisation needs and the support available through the hub.

From companies' experience to the services of the new stage

Opening the event, Edgár Zoltán, the project manager, explained the role of a European digital innovation hub: an access point to expertise and technologies that helps organisations understand which solutions suit them and test them before investing.

The panel “Digitalisation success stories”, moderated by Bianca Pădurean, discussed experiences from the first stage of DIH4Society. Olimpiu Dărăban (Olson Engineering), Ovidiu Prodan (Expert Proiect SRL), Dana Chiorean, DIH4Society 1.0 expert, and Radu Orghidan (CoRAI Labs) talked about the changes technology can bring to a company. Questions from the audience linked the examples presented to the participants' own challenges.

The banking perspective completed the discussion through a fireside chat with Călin Marc, Regional SME Business Manager at Banca Transilvania, on SME digitalisation and support for entrepreneurs.

Around 80 services for eligible beneficiaries

The presentation of the services and of how to access them was a central moment of the event. Edgár Zoltán (Cluj IT Cluster), Ovidiu Codreanu (Cluj IT Cluster), Călin Neamțu (Technical University of Cluj-Napoca) and Mihaela Naidin (University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova) explained how the consortium will work with beneficiaries in the new stage.

DIH4Society 2.0 offers around 80 services, with a focus on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The journey starts with a digital maturity assessment and the identification of the organisation's needs. Depending on these, beneficiaries can access consultancy, technology testing before investment, training courses for employees, support in identifying funding, and connections with experts and partners.

The involvement of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova extends the offer with services dedicated to healthcare, including the testing of AI-assisted diagnostic solutions.

The calls are open. How organisations can apply

Separate calls are available for SMEs, mid-cap enterprises, public institutions and public institutions in the healthcare sector. For SMEs, the value of the requested services can range from EUR 3,000 to EUR 70,000, at no direct cost to eligible companies.

Applications are evaluated in weekly sessions, within the limits of the available budget. Eligibility conditions, the list of services and the application forms are available at dih4society.ro/apeluri.
