In a context in which autonomous aerial technologies are becoming increasingly important for safety, monitoring and interventions in critical situations, the Romanian company BraveX Aero is strengthening its position as an innovator in vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drones through a strategic partnership with DIH4Society. Started in 2025 and carried out during the first half of 2026, the collaboration aimed to accelerate the digital transformation process, develop innovation capabilities and increase the company's competitiveness on the European market.
BraveX Aero develops unmanned aircraft capable of performing complex long-distance missions, from environmental monitoring and mapping to search and rescue, surveillance or equipment delivery operations. With a multidisciplinary team made up of specialists in aviation, engineering and management, the company has turned research begun in 2020 into UAV platforms successfully tested in real conditions since 2024.
Through DIH4Society, the BraveX Aero team benefited from a broad package of services dedicated to innovation and business development: digital maturity assessment, training programmes in cybersecurity and digital marketing, access to laboratories and testing infrastructures, participation in international events, matchmaking and European brokerage sessions, as well as strategic mentoring for attracting investment. A defining element of the collaboration was the consultancy programme supported by Dr. Florin Păun, an international expert in innovation and technology transfer, whose personalised sessions supported the company in clarifying its business model, strengthening its growth strategy and preparing for dialogue with investors.
The results were not long in coming. According to BraveX Aero representatives, the collaboration with DIH4Society has already contributed to the development of partnerships at European level and to the identification of new growth opportunities, confirming the essential role that innovation ecosystems play in turning technological ideas into solutions with real impact.
